NOLANVILLE, Texas – A section of the westbound Interstate 14, located southwest of Waco, Texas, will remain closed for the rest of the day following a fiery multi-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler transporting gasoline.

According to authorities, the truck driver tragically lost their life at the crash site.

The incident also left four other individuals with minor injuries, who have since been transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Local news outlet KXXV reported that the accident was initiated by a collision between a Pontiac and another 18-wheeler carrying lumber. Following the loss of its lights, the Pontiac’s driver attempted to signal passing traffic for assistance. A pickup truck stopped to provide aid, but another vehicle subsequently crashed into the stationary pickup. It was at this point that the fuel-carrying 18-wheeler collided with the scene and instantly caught fire.
